
Joon-young Lee (They/Them) is a queer asian artist based in Toronto, Canada. Lee works primarily in the medium of fine art photography, with their works reflecting on fashion, identity and anti-establishment. Their most notable projects include SLUDGE(2023) and MANNEQUINS(2022), the latter of which was exhibited at the Image Factory Gallery, February 2023. Lee approaches their work with the mindset of exploring and addressing the social and cultural issues in their precipitation of life. It is through this mindset where Lee best communicates their thoughts and emotions.
